An accomplished 'busker'

As a musician, I've had a chequered history!

I still play guitar, and have done since I was seven, this is my favourite instrument! I dabble with keyboards & piano (I'm really a guitarist who plays keyboards, if you know what I mean!). I have also played drums (not for long!), clarinet (grade 5), Sax (same as clarinet really, but sexier apparently!) but none of them very well!

I can't read music very well, but luckily I have a 'good ear' and can just about play most things once I've heard them.

I love writing and recording music (I have a small home studio) There's examples of my music on this page, if you're interested in hearing any!

Things I'm proud of musically:

The opening sequence of the play, synchronised with video and live action as the Salem girls went dancing in the woods, and were discovered by Rev. Parris.
  • Writing the theme tune for "Home Movies", a TV programme which went out at around midnight on one of the first cable TV channels in London. I'd say roughly five people got to see it!
  • Writing the theme music for "The Last Time", a prize winning amateur film which got shown as the B movie before the main feature in some cinemas in the London Area Again, not many people saw this one either! But it was good seeing my name on the opening credits in a cinema!
  • Writing my own musical in 1991 called "Full Circle". Looking back, it wasn't such a well written musical, but the music was good and we LOVED it at the time!

So that's it. Not much to say here, but music is a large part of my life. More examples below:

A simple tune I wrote when I met my wife Cat.

A piece of music written as film titles of an actual film which unfortunately never got released!

More coming when I get time to sort it all out. Let me know what you think!

You'll need flash player to hear the music on this page, you can get it by using the button below.

That opening to the Crucible sounds ace. Get a little shiver on "John Proctor". Silly really, I knew exactly what she was going to say! Really great stuff!
